Our Story
- Viggo Tailoring -
At Viggo, every suit begins with a story — a story about dedication, precision, and over two decades of uninterrupted passion for tailoring.
We are more than a brand. We are a team of artisans who invest deeply in every customer who walks through our doors. With roots in Romania and craftsmanship crafted in Italy, our mission is to deliver excellence — not just in clothes, but in the entire experience.
Every sample is personal. Every stitch contributes to the final shape. From the first conversation to the last button, we offer more than just clothing — we offer confidence, presence, and elegance.
To ensure that the execution of each suit starts from the finest materials, we work directly with some of the most prestigious fabric houses in the world — such as Loro Piana (featured partner), Piacenza 1733, Ermenegildo Zegna, Scabal, Ariston Napoli, Fratelli Tallia di Delfino, Solbiati, Dormeuil, Holland & Sherry, Vitale Barberis Canonico, Drapers, Carnet, Albini, Thomas Mason, Canclini.
However, Fabric alone is not enough. The essence of our work lies in what only quality enthusiasts can see.
What makes our costumes truly special?
At Viggo, each suit reflects a harmony between craftsmanship and character. While most brands stop at visual elegance, we go beyond appearances — in the structure, in the stitching, and in the identity of each piece.
We are proud to be part of an extremely small group of tailoring houses in the world that can execute all 6 internationally recognized levels of jacket construction — from basic thermo-bonded models to completely handmade masterpieces.
The 6 Levels of Execution in Tailoring
Level 1 – Fused
Basic level, where the fabric is bonded to a synthetic reinforcement.
Used only for accessible items.
No craftsmanship. No durability. No personality.
Level 2 – Half Canvas (Chest area only)
The canvas covers part of the chest.
Minimal internal structure, everything sewn by machine.
A quick, easy solution for casual tailoring. Limited shaping.
Level 3 – Half Canvas (Chest + lapel)
The canvas extends across the chest and lapel.
It provides superior shape, following the body line over time.
Mostly machine-made, but with an optimized structure.
Level 4 – Full Canvas and Partial Manual Operations
The jacket now has a full canvas structure, with key areas hand-finished:
- Hand-finished shoulder cuff — allows freedom of movement and reduces tension on the shoulder line. The arm moves naturally without pulling the material.
- Hand-sewn collar — perfect contour on the neck and chest. It is not restrictive, does not deform, but sits naturally.
- Hand-shaped corners — retain their shape over time, avoiding bending or deformation.
The particularities of this level breathe life into the jacket. The precision of the machine is animated by the talent of the tailor.
Level 5 – Full Canvas and Extended Handicrafts
This is the gold standard in premium tailoring:
- The lapels are hand-shaped for an elegant and natural shape.
- The collar is attached by hand for a perfect fit.
- Shoulder, cuff and hem linings are hand-stitched — providing breathability and flexibility.
- All buttonholes are hand-sewn with silk thread — authentic refinement.
- Buttons are attached by hand with silk safety loop — durability and aesthetics.
It is the ideal level for clients who are looking for excitement, not just precision in execution.
Level 6 – Masterpiece (100% Handmade)
It is the ultimate expression of mastery:
- The lapels are hand-lined with hundreds of stitches — providing natural, elegant and durable volume.
- The collar is completely shaped and attached by hand — it fits perfectly and adapts over time.
- Linings and hems are completely hand-sewn — following the shape of the wearer's body.
- The buttonholes are handmade with maximum precision — each one becomes a work of art.
A level 6 jacket isn't just a piece of clothing — it's a legacy in the making.
